sent postcard twenty-four - germany

marina is the recipient of the next postcard.  one of the interests she listed is horses... i went through all my cards, and remembered that i had one card with a horse on it... it was one of my texas cards that i've grown to love very much... however, like all good things, they must come to an end, and i must part with this card... by no means is this card extra fancy or great, but there's something about it that i just love... so i wrote a few sentences about how much i love texas and that i love that card...  hopefully she will cherish it. :D

sooo... he is getting a plane AND a space shuttle... at first i was really worried that i wouldn't have anything for him... and then i remembered i had JUST the card for him... so this card is of a fly-over at the johnson space center near houston, tx... i ASSUMED that diane picked up while she was in galveston, since it's so near houston, but she swears she didn't... so maybe claire picked it up?  (thank you so much if you did! it was perfect for dan in belgium!) i really like when i can send someone a card that has something quirky from their list of interests, because i know what it's like to get a postcard that i know someone really thought about... so thank you so all who pick up cards for me when you're out and about!

received postcard seventeen - new york

from new york to new mexico to texas, this postcard has been on a cross country trip...

this postcard is from maureen in cornwall, ny.  she took this picture of the hudson river in hudson valley, ny, not far from her home.  that makes four postcards from new york this month... SWEET!  interestingly, none are of the big apple... and a month ago, i sent this postcard on may 30 (less than a month ago) of carnegie hall...

i must be in a new york state of mind.  ;P

so far i have sent two cards to belarus... both to women... and both to an a/e(lena)... one has spelled her name elena and one has spelled her name alena... hmmm... interesting...

received postcards fourteen, fifteen, and sixteen - new york

tara and rex just spent a few days in new york so that they could visit rex's family.  while there, tara picked up some postcards (as she does on all of her trips)... i knew to expect a postcard; however, i was pleasantly surprised with THREE of them...

the first was a beautiful 3D/holographic card of a piano... unfortunately, it didn't scan so well... but it is really cool in person!  :D

the second is from pearl street grill & brewery in buffalo.  tara said she tried all 12 beers that were on tap, but only 8 were good...  beer aside, the brewery has a crazy postcard... just take a second and digest what all is in the picture... hmmm... i wonder if there is a story behind it all...

and third was a niagara falls postcard... and just like a roswell card, everyone needs a niagara falls postcard... so i guess i should get to gettin on getting my sister a roswell card... ;P
