i got this card of polish composer, chopin.  even though not one of his biggest fans, i am SUPER excited to have gotten such a cool card.  chopin has helped shape classical music and piano repertoire.  how nice of her to send such a thoughtful card!  thanks!

i got this really cool postcard today from maria in finland.  it is a painting by a finnish artist named magnus enckell.  enckell's father was a priest so he painted some religious pieces (this one)... but he also painted a lot of figures (specifically male figures [he was gay]).  pretty cool stuff overall... this card is one of my favorites so far... thanks maria!

i am so jealous of alicia... she lives right outside of washington, d.c.  really, i'm not that jealous... but i really enjoyed my trip last summer... aaaaaand i'm possibly planning another trip soon...

this card was fun because she loves perfumes and colognes... and i LOVE my cologne... soooooo... i doused the card in my cologne. :D  i know what you're thinking: i'm a genius.  i know.  ;P  she listed her boyfriend and her two cats' names, so i listed them all on the card... she works in the cosmetics business and so does my mom... so that was neat... i hope she enjoys her card!

sent postcard ten - russia (and an apology)

ok... so i need to do some updating...
and i will...
soon.
i promise.

meanwhile... i am sending out another card to russia!  how exciting!  i have a strange fascination with russia... and interestingly enough, this next recipient lives on communist avenue... hmmm...

i hope it makes it to her... the last card i sent to russia still hasn't made it to svetlana after 62 days.  :(   hopefully, this one will travel quicker!

so about the card... not only am i fascinated with russia, but also with churches...  i will be performing mass in this cathedral on sunday (april 22) and i am really excited about it.  this card is going to karina, who is 22...  some of her hobbies include: pictures, knitting, sewing, and cooking... ummm... SO DO I!  :D  i am excited for her to get my card, and for her to find out we like a lot of the same things...

ksenia sent me this postcard of some really lovely religious buildings... the card says the are: holy trinity, saint seraphim, and diveyevo monastery... i am not sure which one is which... however, they are all beautiful... i love the onion domes and i've always wanted to attend an orthodox service (assuming they are orthodox churches)... i hope that they all have wonderful acoustics, because i love love LOVE sacred russian music...
